A Brief History
Back in the days of my youth, the Jedi and most of the Galaxy were quite disorganized to say the least. There were small contingents of Clones, a few Dark Jedi about, and a few small collections of Jedi. A friend of mine that I met in my travels as a mere adventurer, an adept without knowing it, described the Jedi ways and I became enthralled. I began to meditate and study the ways of the Force.
Now, before I could really gather any formal training at all, I was whisked into battle and political intrigue. A group known as the Jedi Temple, run by a now-passed master Nakio, was causing much ado in the Galaxy. He and his order meant well, but there were issues keeping things under control. The Jedi Temple was in just as much chaos as the rest of the Galaxy. Without the guidance of solid masters, they were no more than militiamen.
Master Greg, my aforementioned friend, and Master Hunter and myself formed a separate order to try and bring stability to the Jedi.

Not long after we began, we were being thwarted by the Dark Jedi and by the Jedi Temple order as well. The Jedi Temple were fighting the Dark Jedi and both groups had some sort of issue with us. It was havoc. Master Nakio was far too impatient to work with us on the issues and Master Hunter fell to the Dark Jedi. The small order we formed did not last.
Master Greg and I had taken a bit of a break and allowed ourselves time to think things over. He was not eager to get back very quickly and yet I was drawn to the ways of the light. While my career and training was short thus far, I was one of the few Masters around. “One’s life is often accelerated by necessity,” I always say. I soon returned and formed a new order, the Order of the Jedi, on another forgotten system.

There were a few of us in this order, myself and Lady Karen mainly. The Order of the Jedi was the next step in my path as a Jedi. Unfortunately, our numbers were low and we needed the help of other orders. Nakio’s order was all but gone. But I had found another order – the Jedi Honor.
Master Obaanah was the master there, and I went to him and we arranged a union. My few and his few would join to form the Jedi Alliance, brought together to bring strength to the Jedi. The Dark Jedi were beginning to organize on Koriban as well, forming the origins of the Dark Lords of the Sith.
Again, out of necessity comes growth. This time, growth of the order. We found refuge in the Sirius System, with a temple, barracks, training arena, dorms, and the Tower of Wisdom.

Master Obaanah was a wise master, and soon Masters Christopher and Marymac took their place on our council, along with Master Greg. We also soon added Master Rickin and Master Koji, and the Jedi Alliance was truly strong. The Jedi Alliance and the Dark Lords of the Sith were two very strong and organized orders of Force users.
We soon moved to New Holstice, the great Jedi Sanctuary planet. It was a place of hiding and rest during the clone wars, and always had and still has a tight bond with the light side of the Force. We built up a mighty temple, with archives, training, ceremony hall, and dorms. We built a separate dorm area, and private living areas. We also built smaller temples for meetings and such.

We were strong in those days – strong in kinship, strong in numbers, strong in the ways of the Force.
The most critical skill and trait in my teachings can be learned here. Over my many years I have seen all the follies that could have been prevented or slowed or even reversed if people were patient. Patience works for many and all.
The Dark Jedi had patience and perseverance in trying to cause mayhem on the Jedi Order in the beginning. And it worked. The inner chaos of Nakio and his order was patient enough to outlast the calmness and serenity of the Jedi ways. And it worked. And yet I myself, and Master Greg, and other masters leading up to this very day, were patient enough to know when the right time was to act. And it worked for quite a long time.
All life and all death and all existence and all non-existence in the Force are cyclical and bow to the waves of time. The only thing that never changes is change itself.
Small numbers often do not stand a chance against large ones. Small amounts of faith in the Force do not always stand a chance against largely faithful ones. “United we must stand,” to steal a common phrase. The groups that stood together over time have survived, and this will be evident as my tales carry forward.
What brought the Jedi Alliance about was unity. And what brings us here today as Jedi is unity. We thrive with each other, united. And we thrive with the Force, united.
